I'll give my thoughts on the Calvin/Wisconsin Lutheran game.

Low scoring affair in the first half (both teams did not shoot the ball very well) Wisconsin Lutheran got their only lead of the game (8-5), then Calvin took the lead for good, but only lead by as many as eight points. At half it was only 22-17 in favor of Calvin. The second half was more of the same as Calvin got out to a decent lead only to see WLC come right back. Down the stretch Calvin made their shots and pulled away to a 12 point win.

Wisconsin Lutheran hurt themselves by turning the ball over especially when they could have tied or taken the lead in the second half. Rachel Johnson scored 12 points in her final game as a Warrior. The Warriors out-rebounded the Knights 45-35, but the deciding factor was points off of turnovers as Calvin scored 17 points off of 20 WLC turnovers compared to WLC scording 8 points off of 12 Calvin turnovers.

WLC finishes the season at 24-5 (17-1). They lose seniors Rachel Johnson (12.0 ppg, #11 all time scorer in school history), Jenna Neuberger (4.2 ppg) and Alli Page (1.7 ppg). However they return seven of the top eight scorers and look to be ready for another great season next year.

It's going to be a great Sectional at Whitewater this weekend. I think UWW, Whitworth and Va. Wesleyan are all national title contenders and Wheaton is very hot and has one of the best players in the country in McCrary. If you can make it, you should.
