Close one in Weyaweaga last night. Winneconne played hard but came up short 46-41.
Any update on Hellwig? She went down hard last night. Had to be carried off in the second half.
Hoping she will be ready to go on Fri. against Xavier.
Praying it wasn't season ending.

i got all 4 right so far, i see your going with all the higher seeds for round 2, i was gonna go with Wega, but if Hellwig got hurt, i will back off of that, the toughest game to call is going to be the Oconto Falls vs. Witt-Birn game, i might go to that game, all 4 should be good games, i'll go with...

Freedom
Oconto Falls
FVL

Yes, at half by one. Played strong and felt they ended the season on a high note.
Need to take that energy into next season and get their reps in the gym and weight room this summer.
New Day! Next season starts today!

nice looking bracket, surprised that FVL only got a 3 seed, this sets up well for Witt-Birn to make a run, how good is Freedom? Towney give me a run down on the big 3 from the EVC, rank them 1 thru 3 on how you think they are playing right now, any injuries?

Witt-Birn gets a round 3 home game vs. Little Chute, WB undefeated at home.
Xavier gets a 3rd crack at solving FVL

Round 3 picks....

Witt-Birn
FVL

Xavier in the sectional semi-final.
Hope they get the opportunity to play Brillion for the trip to state.
Have a great week!

Xavier proved that its tough to beat a good team 3 times, with their win over FVL, is Xavier back at full strength? i know they had 2 players out with injury, are they back now?

Had Stratford and Auburndale played outside of the south Marawood Conference in regionals, I believe both were good enough to win regional championships elsewhere. The Marawood South has to be one of toughest D-4, D-5 conferences this year. Would you agree?

Very strong and impressive showing from the Marawood South. While they have a decent number of D3 schools, both the Packerland and Olympian have put together good showings with 3 regional champions each.

As far as the Packerland, you expect the two reigning state runner-ups to get through regionals, with the 3rd and 4th place teams being knocked out by them. But not really expected was the 6th place team, N.E.W. Lutheran as an 8 seed "upsetting" the 1 seed and 4 seed on back to back nights.

Midwest Classic South is another strong conference with its top five teams earning regional championships.

• D5 Heritage Christian (20-4)
• D4 Shoreland Lutheran (19-5)
• D3 Racine St. Catherine’s (17-7)
• D4 The Prairie School (18-6)
• D5 Burlington Catholic Central (12-12)

Quality non-conference wins this year include Heritage over D3 Dominican and D1 Milwaukee Riverside, Racine St. Catherine’s over D1 Racine Case and D3 Dominican, and Burlington Catholic Central over D5 Lake Country Lutheran. Within the conference Shoreland split with Heritage and The Prairie School and beat Burlington Catholic Central twice. The Prairie School split with Heritage and Racine St. Catherine’s but dropped both games to Burlington Catholic Central.

Owen-Withee takes down Wausau Newman in the semi finals just like volleyball season. Great game to watch. Final 49-46.
A Playoff will be much more fair than the BCS.
No matter what happens, Rodgers GREATER THAN Favre.

Wow, Heritage Christian is a quality team. Up 22-8 on Seneca after one. HCs defensive pressure is making it difficult for Seneca to get a quality look at the basket. This game might get ugly.

Well I said Heritage by 20 so I'm not too surprised. Seneca is undefeated but I don't think they are nearly as good as the other 3 teams in D5 at the tournament.
