He had a rough 2011, but the entire team did. 2-10, its no surprise he struggled.

All of these QBs wanting to jump a sinking potential NFL career to try and resurrect it at another school. Good luck with that!

I am sure he will be heading to Vandy. He already has a relationship with their OC.

What's a commador?

Edit: NVM that is how all the other SEC fans spell commodore because they received a turrible ejukashun.

Take 2011 with a grain of salt. With James Franklin, a coach who runs a pro-style offense, as his offensive coordinator at Maryland in 2010, O'Brien thrived. When Franklin left and Friedgen canned, Maryland brought in Randy Edsall and completely transformed that offense to a spread. It didn't suit his personnel and really hampered O'Brien's continued development.

In an offense that suits his strengths (i.e. pro-style), O'Brien will be a very good quarterback.

I would guess he'll end up at Vandy. Although Jordan Rodgers seems to be the guy there. But that relationship with Franklin is what would draw him there.

I think he would have a better opportunity to play at Wisconsin but often times player goes where they have good relationships with the coach.

I am excited to see Penn State play football. The forward passing game has made it to the big ten. Mike Leach type offense in the big ten would be even more exciting but the tweed sweater types who rule the big ten would not allow this.

an early signing period for football solves that issue. I am not sure why the NCAA has not figured this out.

O'Brien is coming to Wisconsin! Yes!

Makes Wisconsin the favorite in the B1G this year!

So, would WI be a bad choice for O'Brien then?? Seems like Bucky is much more run-based than the NFL currently is.

The offense will be a little different under the new OC. Reports already indicate a big change in the passing game scheme.

If he does attend UW, we will see how well a QB that lost his starting job last season does this season.

Love it! Another graduate school QB running the show, if anything hopefully with similar poise to that of RW.
