Earlier i created a post about the high school football season so i decided to create the same poll except this time for soccer. Reply with your predictions.
1. Xavier: Always a contendor. Hard non conference schedule should prepare them for playoffs and easy road through EVC. Loads of talent back.
2. FVL: Another trip to state another conference title last year, same old story. This year may be more difficult for that. They have a great coach and will always have talent. Lost a ton of players to graduation, and with a hard non conference schedule young players will grow up fast.
3. Little Chute: one of the teams to watch this year. They are one of the most improved teams in the conference the last few years. Bring back virtually every starter and have a ton of junior senior experience. Battled FVL for one half last year and played very well against Xavier as well. Consistancy was a problem last year as they appeared to play down to level of competition against bad teams. Tyler Coenen and Marco Gonzalez should have a great duo this year. and IMOP Matt Mahlik is the most underated player in conference and could be the best goalie in the conference but needs recognition.
4. Berlin: they have always been a consistant team in the EVC and look for that to continue. They always fight hard and look for that to continue but when it comes down to it, they will still finish in middle of pack.
5. Waupaca: after a few down years the last few years Waupaca i think is on the right track to turn things around this year. Bring back alot of players but will still struggle to score.
6. Winneconne: They have been really impressive the last three years or so. Coach Luis has done a great job of building this program up. I just feel this conference is so deep and vastly improved this year, that they will take a step back, but never count them out as they always seem to get better as year goes on.
7. Freedom: This team improved greatly as the year went on and look for that improvement to continue. This is still a young team so they will have a hard time competeing consistantly, but they will gain alot of experience that will help them the next few years, and they could be a tough out in years to come.
8. Ripon: The tigers have been the bottom feeders since EVC has started. They can score goals with the best of them, but the problem is they cant stop anything. They have a strong core of players returning who will be able to score 3 plus goals a game, but the defense will continue to struggle. They wont be able to stop anyone, but will win some games by scoring more than others in high scoring shootouts.
9.Clintonville: This team will struggle in every categorie. Last year dominic marshianic or how ever it was spelt had so much speed he did everything on offense for them. Now he graduated. so no speed up front. Compliment that with the lack of skills Clintonville will be the bottom feeders this year, but have an easy non conference schedule to help them pad a few wins to better regional seed.
