1. Waupaca: Loads of talent coming back especially beau ash and their qb. Poised for a deep playoff run and maybe a shot at state.
2. Xavier: lost alot from last year but have a great coach to motivate these kids. Tough first game against West De pere, but should coast once that is over with conference being decided against waupaca.
3. Little Chute: This may be a shocker to everyone, but i would not sleep on LC. had a very young team last year and won three games. Lose Keysers but bring back Albers , Job, and ciske. Dont play xavier so should have one less loss to worry about.
4. Clintonville: Their program has been rebuilding but looks to have a strong campeign this year.
5. Freedom: First playoff berth in awhile. Lose Jason Binz as head coach so a new coach and new system may take a while to fit together, but still could fight for playoffs.
6. FVL: First playoff berth in a few years last year with loads of seniors gone. A lot of young and unproven players, but could find ways to win games.
7. Berlin: showed potential winning three games last year, but just not enough depth or talent to greatly improve.
8. Ripon: went winless last year. Team has a lot to prove this season. Should be better, but still a long way to go until they get back to their supremecy.
9. Winneconne: New coach young team struggle all year and should finish at the bottom.
Little Chute has had more talent than most of their fellow conference opponents the last 10+ years and have done virtually nothing with it. Take away the 2003-04 season when Jimmy Johnson single-handedly carried the Mustangs, and Little Chute has had quite a run of mediocrity despite numerous seasons of high expectations.
Despite catching a break and not having to play Xavier this season, why should anyone think the 2012-13 version will be any different?
Baseball is not a game that builds character, it is a game that reveals it.
"There are three types of baseball players: those who make things happen, those who watch it happen, and those who wonder what happened."
