[size="2"]Last night, Prairie du Chien football won their 11th consecutive season opener and have not started a season 0-1 since [/size][/font][size="0"][size="2"]August 27th, 1999 when they lost at home to Westby 32-6. Anyone know of any active streaks that are as long or longer?

[/size][/font] [size="2"]Looking back at my records, Prairie du Chien won 12 season openers in a row from 1974-1985. So I guess there is something for next year's team to aim for.[/size][/font]

Southern Door hasn't lost their season opener since at least the the 1995 season. That is as far back as I can remember.

Though I'm not too sure of what the number is or whatever. If you look at a team like Edgar, who hasn't had a losing season in all of Jerry Sinz' years, they probably haven't lost an opener in the whole time that he's been there.

I can't remember the exact year (I believe 95 or 96) Edgar lost to Stanley-Boyd, but I'm not sure if it was the first or second game of the season. Someone from Edgar in the know how might remember.

My memory isn't clear, but I believe the last time Edgar lost an opener was in 92 against Darlington. I was only a kid at the time, so I don't know what happened from 93-96. It's possible they lost one in there.

Darlington beat Edgar in the 91 state title game , Edgar lost its opener in 92 to I think Crivitz and went on to beat Elk Mound in the state finals .

Yeah, I always mix up which one they lost to in the first game and which one they lost to at state.
