I have DirecTV, and since they only broadcast FSWisconsin for live events (usually just Brewers and Bucks) I'm a little nervous. I know the football games will be covered live on FSWisconsin, but will DirecTV be picking them up as well?

I know the simple answer is yes, live football = broadcast. That is what I figured. But when I was searching my guide trying to set my DVR it does not have the games listed as being broadcast. Anyone have any ideas, or insights as to why DirecTV gives me all the Minnesota sports crap and doesn't let me watch any Wisconsin programing?

Thanks for your help. Go Lions!

Well, since they are going to be played live I would imagine that you are going to be able to watch them. If not, just go to a friends in town that still has cable. Maybe even a local sports bar might have it.

I have Directv and had the same fear last year when I looked ahead. If I remember correctly, it won't show up on the "schedule" until the day of but they should be on the FSWisconsin.

As of today, it still shows "Upcoming Thunder vs. Bucks". This is my first year having DirecTV as well, and while I like it, their snub of FSWisconsin is SUPER annoying. I figure they'll still show the games, but I like to DVR them and watch them in their entirety when I get home from work each day. It's hard to set up the DVR when all that's available on the guide is a 24 hour block of "Upcoming". I think you can set up a manual record though.....I'll have to look into that tomorrow if it still hasn't shown up.
Football teams I've seen in person in 2013: Appleton North, Fond du Lac (x2), Arrowhead, Homestead (x3), Hartford, Germantown (x4), Grafton (x5), Cedarburg (x3), Nicolet, KM Lutheran, Lomira, Milw. Lutheran, Brookfield East, and Kimberly.

I have had DirecTV for years and it does not show up on the schedule until either the day before or the day of. I manually set the time and channel to record it with the DVR or wait until the morning of the games.

According to my investigative skills (or lack thereof):

I have found that if you have Direct TV in the Milwaukee market (meaning that the local channels you get are the Milwaukee ones), channel 623 will have the games live. It is listed as Fox Sports Central according to my "source."

I am checking other TV markets at this time.

Upon further review:

Channel 623 on Direct TV should have the games available throughout Wisconsin (and, from what I can see, the entire country)

If you have ATT U-Verse, it should be Channel 648

I cannot find the listing on any DISH Network channel. Can anyone disprove this?

I want to say it was on channel 669 in the Green Bay area on DirecTV last year.

You are correct on Direct TV Channel 669. That looks to be the HD channel for Fox Sports North and the games are listed on that channel as well.

I think the HD channel for FSWisconsin is actually 669-1, with the standard def being 669. FSNorth (MN feed) is actually 668. At least that's what it is on my guide, with the Milwaukee locals. Again, I assume they'll show the games on 669/669-1, I just hope they show up on the guide sometime tomorrow so that they're easier to DVR.

I am hoping they do the games in HD this year. I have become an HD snob. Only watch SD programming if I absolutely have to.

My DISH network shows the Thursday games on 448 and the Friday games on 449.

Unless you have your own satellite TV, it looks like you might have to frequent a local sports bar that has Direct TV or DISH Network in Jayhawk land.

I think WIAA.TV plays the games on a delayed basis next week and I haven't seen the Fox Sports Wisconsin website advertise the games as being videostreamed online.

All I have to add is.....Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!!!!!

The games now show up in the guide (though most of the teams' names are spelled wrong, which is sorta funny). However, they only show up for the standard def channel (669). On the HD feed (669-1) it still just says "Upcoming Programming" for the entire Thursday and Friday lineups. I went through and set my DVR to record each game on the standard channel, and then scheduled a manual recording of 10 hours or whatever on the HD channel incase they are broadcasted there as well. I suppose this is the way to go if you have the space on your box, and don't have conflicting programs.

I'll be watching the games in their entirety sometime this weekend, so until then, I'll avoid the WSN football pages for the next few days. Hope everyone has fun watching and/or attending the games!
