Kick-off at 5:30 pm, CST. Network Television is FOX

The Giants cannot expect to be the benefactors of 4 turnovers and 8 dropped passes, many on 3rd down, like they were last Sunday in Green Bay. Plus, the 49'er defenders are fundamentally sound in all facets of their scheme, including putting pressure on the QB, pass coverage by the secondary and the ability of their LB's and DB's to tackle in open space.

In my mind, that equates to a San Francisco victory and a berth in Super Bowl XLVI.

This game is going to be tough to watch for us Packer fans...and owners.

IMO, the Giants are better than the 49ers. It's theirs to lose.

Without a doubt cheering on the 9ers today. Can't guarantee that Alex Smith will have the same success as he had last week...but we can guarantee that Jim Harbaugh will have this team fired up, he's an incredible motivator, IMO.

go 9ers!

Thought this tweet from pereria was interesting, and something that I hadn't heard before.

"The Lambeau leap and dunking the ball over the goal posts were the only two acts grandfathered in. Nothing else was. Can't jump on camera st"

I knew about the leap, didn't know about dunking.

Yeah, I knew about the leap being grandfathered in. But now that I think of it, the goalposts could be considered a "prop" so would also need to be grandfathered.

Yeha I thought the same about the goalposts. Looks like i won't be calling for a 15 yarder next time a player dunks on the goal post down 30 points to the Packers.

WOW the 49ers just got robbed. Bradshaw clearly fumbled but the refs blew a pre-mature whistle for "forward progress"...that was a terrible job by the refs. It should be the 49ers ball inside the 20 right now...

Tackling in the NFL is laughable. Diving in at a FB's legs with your shoulder while turning your back to him. Hit him with your shoulder pads and wrap up.

What a crappy way to possibly end a very good game.

God the giants are lucky. Another anticlimactic ending to an overrall good game. Now I have to watch 2 of the teams that I hate the most play in the superbowl. Oh well, there's always next year.

"You Dropped a Bomb on Me" is the siren song of the the game for the 49ers. We have a rematch.

Kyle Williams.....yuck.

Also, happy the Packer just got flat out beat. Losing like that would blow.

For some reason I just picture Kyle Williams and Billy Cundiff sitting on a bench together with their heads down, with this playing in background...

I hate both of these teams so much, I am seriously considering not watching the Super Bowl. I'll have friends over for a SB party in 2 weeks, but right now I'm thinking of just watching XXXI instead.

Kyle Williams has been getting death threats from people who call themselves 49ers fans on twitter. Utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, that's why after the packers lost I was pulling for Baltimore. Boston and NY fans are just pompous A-holes, and SF fans aren't much better. The SF "fans" are no where to be found when their team is sucking wind, then they suddenly feel like the players owe them an apology after the team over-acheived all year long but then made a few mistakes that might have cost them a trip to the super bowl.

People need to get over themselves. I wonder how these people would like it if their co-workers and business partners gave them death threats if they botched a deal at work.

Watching the 49'ers, Giants and Ravens play defense on Sunday made it SO VERY APPARENT just how pathetically poor the Packers' defense really is.

I kept wanting to think the Packers were better than SF & NYG during the NFC championship game on Sunday .... then images of Manning having all day to pass against the impotent Packer pass rush, the Giant WR's racking up one 3rd-down conversion after another in front of an anemic GB secondary and Packer defenders missing innumerable tackles in open space would float thru my stream of consciousness, reminding me why the Packers cannot be considered a complete team and allowing me to understand why the Packers are not representing the NFC in Indy for Super Bowl XLVI.

After the Packers' loss, I couldn't fathom the reason to Eli being so effective vs the Packers. After watching the Ravens' defense, along with the 9ers' and the Giants, it made me realize how much I agree with this post by you. It was just completely disgraceful watching our D vs the Giants O. I wish we were still playing, but I'm glad the Packers lost as it has to be a huge learning lesson for the organization. I hope the Packers' players took into account what they viewed on television Sunday, and evaluated the tremendous display of what great defenses do. DEFENSE does win championships, and I fully expect the Giants defense to come through against the Patriots.

It was rather entertaining to not watch a shoot out for once, and see some hard nose football. Man, Eli must've been hit 35 + times, honestly. On the other hand, the Giants d-line is simply incredible in what they bring to a defense. They have average linebackers and defensive backs, but a ridiculously good front four.
