Put 'em here.

It's interesting to note that last year's D2 (Whitefish Bay), D3 (Aquinas) and D4 (Marathon) state champs have already been eliminated from the tournament.

3/4 of last years d2 field has been eliminated, 1/2 of the d3 field is gone, 1/2 of the d4 field is gone(granted Oostburg is still there, but in a higher division), 1/4 of the d5 field is gone.

Milwaukee Hamilton over Racine Case by like 7

final

Hamilton lead by as many as 20 but Case used full court pressure to claw back into it. Had it as close as 5 with a few minutes left I think.

61-54 was the final.

Hamilton looks very suspect to pressure defense. I can see Park knocking them off.

Only four players scored for Hamilton led by Itavian Belcher with 26...

However, Belcher was awful in the fourth quarter going from a scoring machine to a turnover/bad decision machine which allowed Case to cut a 17-point lead to 3.

Lucky for Hamilton, Jacob Yang of all people was there to step up and make 6 straight FTs to seal the win. Diener, Looney and Belcher owe him at least a soda for his calm under pressure performance.

I guess things are getting real chippy down the stretch. T's on Triggs and Malone-Mitchel.

King up 56-47 on Riverside with 1:29 left.

According to my source, "so many offsetting technicals."

I completely agree. I was surprised that Hamilton had as much trouble as they did against a trapping full court press by Case; and it does bode well for Racine Park should they get by South as Park loves to use full court pressure.

Kevon Looney was tough though especially on the boards and with put backs.

Apparently King and Riverside has been called with 1:07 left "when Nolan pushed Hatfield," according to my source. King wins, I guess.

My source says things are getting messy down at King...

Not sure of a final score but from what I am hearing the officials have called the game. I guess the entire Riverside team rushed on the court to fight.

Another black eye for MPS.

The Riverside administration needs to take a serious look at its boys' basketball program after this year...especially with so many kids having eligibility issues and now this. Seems discipline is not at a premium.

If King players are getting technicals and/or involved in certain behaviors - there may be suspensions that will impact their tournament run.

Any word?

Sounds like it's Riverside instigating most of it.

Whhoooaaa! Good thing we aren't resorting to knee-jerk reactions.

Let's wait until the facts come out and we see what happened before we decide that an ENTIRE CONFERENCE of schools, administrators, coaches, students, and fans are - as you say ... "a joke".

Dominican uses a 25-14 fourth quarter to pull away for the victory.

Diamond Stone had 26 for Domincan. Destiny's Jerrelle Deberry led all scorers with 29.

Still, in my opinion - a blanket comment that does nothing to help.
There are too many people who do so many good things at many schools in the Conference to generalize in such a whimsical way.

If "crap" you mean a fight in a game - I am not sure; but I don't think its impossible that a fight at the end of a game could happen in Green Bay. And if that did happen - I wouldn't expect observers to make simplified comments about the entire conference.

Sorry - but some of us attend City Conference games all the time that go without incident or problem.

For sure, but look at the other side of that coin as well...MPS tends to stick out. Its size has a lot to with it, but...

The only issue I have with this is when people from "up north" comment, and in most cases, none of them have ever had any contact with anyone connected to MPS.

It is all too easy to cast stones from afar.

That said, if it turns out that Riverside was instigating in this, I would have absolutely no problem with the WIAA (this is their tourney after all) giving them a post-season ban.
