Whhoooaaa! Good thing we aren't resorting to knee-jerk reactions.
Let's wait until the facts come out and we see what happened before we decide that an ENTIRE CONFERENCE of schools, administrators, coaches, students, and fans are - as you say ... "a joke".
Unfortunately, there are years of "issues" to react too...
Still, in my opinion - a blanket comment that does nothing to help.
There are too many people who do so many good things at many schools in the Conference to generalize in such a whimsical way.
For sure, but look at the other side of that coin as well...MPS tends to stick out. Its size has a lot to with it, but...
Absolutely!! The size of the district. The fact that kids come from all over the city to attend these schools. The fact that many people come to the games NOT necessarily to just support athletics. It definitely makes for a more "intense" atmosphere.
Now - if Riverside players were fighting near the end of the game I would be very surprised if "certain" players were involved.
Having known the Triggs brothers and knowing many people who know them - I have seen or heard nothing but great things about their sportsmanship and character. So - I guess until we know what happened and who was involved - we should not pass judgment.

Was I the only one cheering for South Bend Central in the Indiana State Championship game on "Hoosiers"?
