Happy to see Wisconsin's own Steve Stricker qualified at Monday's Sectional in Memphis to play in next week's US Open.

What a tragedy that would have been had he not been in the field when the US Open is played in his home state for the 1st time. Am surprised the USGA denied him an exemption for the tournament given his long-standing respect as "one of the good guys" out there and a fine ambassador of the game. I guess he showed them..... he belongs.

Here's hoping he can make the cut........... so I can follow him for a few holes on Saturday.

The USGA can be hard to figure out in some of the decisions they make such as setting up the course for an event like the U.S. Open. Stricker has done a lot for golf in Wisconsin as a competitor and organizing the Champions Tour event at University Ridge.
"For some players, luck itself is an art."

"They say you're a man of vision."

"Welcome to NASCAR. Where the rules are made up and the points don't matter."

"What would you sell your freedom for?"
"Some Knicks tickets."

Heads up for those planning on driving and parking near the event, they are changing around where lots will be.

Just an FYI,
As during many events, while public parking is not available nearby, there will be many opportunities to park in private lots within minutes of Erin Hills. Many of us neighbors will be offering parking AND a free shuttle to the main pavilion. Lots can be easily found just 1/2 mile south on Hwy 83 & 3/4 mile east on Hwy 167. Just a tip from a neighbor 😁
