....underway in 5 minutes. Only twice since 1993 has the team with the worst record won the lottery. If you're a believer in the 'lottery is rigged' sentiment, your best bet for tonight is Kings with 6% chance to win lottery. Almost were sold, rallied around mayor, city, fans and team and league gave them vote of confidence to stay in Sac. Now award them with top pick, get them back to winning ways.

I've never been a big fan of stuff like this unless you're like a marathon runner or really know what your goals are. Ever since the days of the pedometer, I've always felt like it gives people who don't really know how to exercise an excuse to stop after a certain number. I've trained a couple of people in working out from the pure basics of exercise...those who have never really worked out and the biggest hurdle to get past with them is finding what your limits are. Simple stuff like running on a treadmill or doing shoulder presses or sit ups. When it starts to hurt, they tend to stop, but pushing past the barrier is where you see results. Similarly, it's like doing 3 sets of 10. For those that don't truly know how to calculate their max and 80% of that and how to move up and down in weights, they're just getting to 10 and could probably push out a few more, but because they've hit 10, then stop. With stuff like this, people see a number and feel like it's good enough. This seems like a huge fluke as far as numbers go. In one of the preview videos, it shows a DJ spinning discs and the numbers increasing. I'm a pretty laid back person and a bit of a home body, I don't go out that often and my job, when it's slow, consists of sitting in a car for 7 hours a day, but yet I work out for probably two hours a day and am healthier than probably 90% of my peers. But those who live in a big city, walk to work, walk up and down stairs, go out at night and are on their feet for majority of the day will easily have a higher number than me, but could be far less healthy based on simple things like coffee intake, diet, sleep, stress and exercise routine.

Hello Josh Smith. I really don't think we're going after Smith. If we did, it would show absolute inept by whoever is really calling the shots in Milwaukee. After Henson's late season break out, Sanders near DPOY performance and Ersan's bounceback 2/3 of the season, our front court is set. We don't need anyone else. Smith isn't a 3 either. A frontcourt of Smith, Ersan and Sanders would just not work. He's a 4 with a strong, tall center next to him.

This has been a mess of a few weeks for the Bucks since the season ended. First, it came out that Sanders and Ellis had to be physically separated in the locker room after game 3 in round 1, then they got destroyed in 4 by the Heat, then the coach goes down in flames like many expected, but then report comes out that Redick, even after a new coach search is on its way, is said to not be interested in re-signing. So Jerry Sloan was the first call which didn't happen thank god, now were onto Larry Drew-another schmuck of a coach who is just a face on the sideline. He let guys like Harris and Josh Smith run wild this year. We don't need more recycled goods. An assistant from another team would be great.

Man, I was wondering where Kenny was. Usually around the 1st round of the playoffs, he comes in, talks a bunch of ****** about basketball, spews some garbage that is illogical and shows he doesn't ever watch it, then disappears for 9 months. How was Lebron's age even part of the conversation? It just came out of nowhere. As for this argument, I feel like the NBA is moving towards a movement of players picking their spots more than teams are. You'll get your few Steph Curry's and the like who will stick with their team that drafted them even during rough times, but the major markets are always positioning for top free agents because they're destinations. The first real handshake deal during social media age between two players conspiring to play together was Elton Brand and Baron Davis in Clipperland. Brand was a free agent, Davis was as well and Davis said he'd go to LAC and sign with them if Brand agreed to re-sign as well and they could form this super team with young Eric Gordon and Chris Kaman. Well, Davis signed his contract and Brand quickly backed out the next day signing a monster deal in Philly. I don't know how I feel about Lebron, Wade and Bosh conspiring to join together. I liked Lebron and Wade so much, then this happened and all my negative thoughts I just tried to swat away out of pure blindness that this was legacy damaging stuff. But then you look around and the only team who has truly built from the ground up was the Spurs. They drafted Robinson, Duncan, Ginobili and Parker and surrounded them with either over the hill vets who were 1 or 2 year stop-gaps or 2nd round nobodys who filled roles. Look since 2000 at the champions outside of the Spurs. The Lakers (mega-franchise) signed Shaq away from Orlando (small-ish market trying to build its own) and built their own version of the superteam, the Mavericks put together a mish-mash of talent that happened to ride a horribly down year from NBA standards to a single title then quickly fell back to earth, the Heat traded for Shaq in 2006 and the Celtics rose from ashes to trade for three superstars. Hopefully were moving in a different direction now though. You look at upstart teams like the Warriors, Rockets, Nuggets, Pacers, Bulls, Oklahoma City who are trying to build their team from within, but even all of them have fatal flaws that can prevent them from running off a few ships'.

I've never really watched Colbert, does he just hate on all sides of the government? I thought he was primarily left leaning and that clip made it seem otherwise. Regardless, he was hilarious. I may have to watch more often. I have to give her credit, she's never been my favorite person...ok, I can't stand Gwen Moore, but she did pretty well with all that. You could see hints of her playing into it pretty well and didn't get all uncomfortable and weird like many of those stuffies I think would.

riseagainst wrote:I'd say 5% chance they don't win it...and that's being generous. 4 losses in 7 games just isn't possible for the Heat, unless 2011 NBA finals lebron shows up (or doesn't show up I should say)...
Lebron bugs me too, for many reasons. Mainly because he continues to be compared to Jordan when in reality has no business being put in the same sentence as Jordan AT THIS POINT in his career. When you compare what the 2 have accomplished (both individually and with their teams), there is no comparison. He's 1-3 in finals with a complete choke job in 2011, that to me already ends the conversation as Jordan never, ever disappeared in an NBA finals. Plus, Lebron only started becoming really elite and taking his game to another level over the last 2.5 years or so with his run in Miami. IF Lebron continues to do what he's doing for the next 3-4 years and wins 3-4 championships and continues at the level that he's at, then sure I think the conversation is warranted. But right now? Give me a break.
Also, the way the whole Miami thing went down was extremely weak IMO, with the best player in the game deciding to collude with two other future NBA hall of famers and monopolizing the NBA market to win championships. Lebron has gone on record several times as saying that the league's talent level has been watered down in recent history, and I agree with him. So OK Lebron, since the league is watered down, why did you feel the need to join up with 2 other NBA all stars (and a damn good supporting cast) in order to win championships? Was that really necessary? I realize Lebron can't control what moves Miami's front office makes, which have been stellar by adding the likes of Chris Anderson, Ray Allen, etc. which has made this team virtually unbeatable, but "the decision" has just seemed like a cop out by Lebron from the start.
Just my 2 cents. To answer the question, I say about 20% chance they won't win it. Memphis is going to come out of the West and is a complete mismatch for the Heat. What the Heat struggle against is teams that get them in a slow, plodding half court game where they get pounded inside. They will have to face two straight 7 game series against this type of game in Indiana and Memphis. They've shown the ability to overcome that type of player, however the next worry is Wade's health. His knee is just getting worse to the point he's becoming a decoy in Miami. As for Lebron, he can't help that he gets compared to Jordan. Everyone gets compared to Jordan today, even guys like Durant and Andrew Wiggins are getting compared to Jordan which is just unfathomable when Durant can't even stick into the top 3 players in the league discussion. Jordan was 28 when he won his first championship. The concerns for Lebron not winning came when he was 23 years old, and ever since then, he's won one championship by the age of 27. He is now 28, the same age as MJ at his first ship', and on his way to his second. Lebron has always had the 'unstoppable' moniker to accompany his play, but only over the last year or two has it really become true. He can dominate you from deep, inside, defensively, as a playmaker, rebounder, at the beginning of the game, at the end of the game. He has transformed his game into something that will keep him winning and as a top player in the league as he continues to age. If Jason Kidd can still get minutes in the league with a playoff team at the age of 40, Lebron can do the same barring some career ending type injury solely based on his size and his court vision. The real argument here is the decision. Look, it was corny as ****** and made him look like a complete moron, but besides all that, look at what he left and where he went to. For the 7 years he played with the Cavaliers, the Cavs best talent they put around him was-Carlos Boozer, Drew Gooden, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Ricky Davis, Ira Newble, Larry Hughes, Flip Murray, Donyell Marshall, Damon Jones, Anderson Varejao, Sasha Pavlovic, Delonte West, Eric Snow, Ben Wallace, Mo Williams, Wally Szczerbiak, Shaq, Anthony Parker, Antawn Jamison. How many of those guys were in their prime with Lebron? Ilgauskas, Hughes, Flip, Mo for a year and Wally. That's it. Everyone else was either jettisoned prior to their primes (Boozer, Gooden) or brought in at the twilight of their career or at the very very end of it (Marshall, Snow, Wallace, Shaq, Parker, Jamison). Lebron's lone running mate that he went at least a bulk of the time with, got to pass off the rock on his off nights or relied on when he was double teamed? Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Nobody else was kept long enough. For as many people felt bad for the Cavs and Dan Gilbert, they did an absolutely atrocious job building around one of the greatest players to ever play and had 7 years to do it. On two occasions, they had max salary type money and out of those two occasions they signed Hughes, Flip and Marshall and the next time around split the money up making a multitude of moves to bring in Wally, Wallace, Shaq and Jamison. They botched the one occasion they had to make the (picks and assets trade for star) two years before Lebron left when they didn't trade Wally's expiring $14 million contract and the assets they had (West, Bobbie, Varejao) for something better, stayed the course because they were winning a bit, then let his contract expire and moved on. Lets not forget that, if you had the opportunity to live in Cleveland or Miami, you wouldn't flinch to pick Miami 100 times out of 100. Lebron had to weight the decision of all decisions (no pun intended), to stay where the fans loved him and it was his hometown and play for a team that was still going nowhere in a hurry and risk being a villain, or move to Miami, play with one of your best friends for a team that has prepared and tanked for two seasons to bring you in and pair alongside a few star players to win everything every single year.
