Must be PLENTY of room on the bandwagon with so many people jumping off a quarter of the way into the season. WOW!!!! BTW---There is a guy on this board that has played in the OF and talked to me as I sat in my improvised bleachers that knows what a love I have for baseball. Hard to believe that was 10 years ago... ...time flies. P.S. Wish the Brewers would realize that and see their "window" is closing!

The Brewers currently have some of the most hollow .300 averages in MLB history.

Wasn't that supposed to be the part of the team that was guaranteed to produce?
This team lacks leadership...and energy.
Regarding the latter, perhaps they actually miss Nyjer Morgan's swagger (yes, I'm poking WIAC's bear here)...there's gotta be something, it just seems that this team isn't all that interested in being at the ballpark...with the former, it's pretty pathetic that no one has emerged on a team full of veterans. Sure... Should have kept Morgan so that one of their top hitters (Gomez) could be in a platoon again. But hey, at least there would be some energy on the team!!! could've put nyjer at 2nd and gotten rid of weekkks Would LOVE to try and see Morgan try and turn the DP as a left hander.... Would bet there would be more than a handful of guys licking their chops for the chance to take him out on a double play ball!!!! Have you ever seen Rickie try and turn a DP? John Jaha on Mo Vaughn's back could make the turn at two better.

Not saying they should have kept him (production didn't warrant it...but hey, since when does that stop this franchise? ), but they sure as heck haven't replaced it. They're just listless. It's been awhile since I've seen a team with this level of talent just completely squander every chance at momentum that comes their way. Say what you will about the untuck'em and over-exuberant celebration days, but at least things were happening then! I've got enough to deal with in my life and I don't need the stress that comes from watching bad baseball right now...so I've been limiting my Brewers exposure. I haven't even been watching much sports period...so I guess I'm off the sports bandwagon and should probably just close my WSN account...

So you like teams losing games because of the "human element"? Why should a team lose a game because an umpire makes a wrong call? That's not fair to anyone. And to db11, how is it not working in the NFL? It's been great for the game. Just because we'll never have perfection doesn't mean that we shouldn't try to get as close as possible. I can't believe that there are still people out there that don't think replay needs to be expanded. Even if they bring in the best umpires in the world there will still be problems, and there needs to be a way to correct awful calls. It doesn't remove the human element, ruins the flow of the game (often for incredibly unimportant and bang/bang calls that can't really be deciphered by the naked eye) and on the whole does little to exacerbate "blown calls"...it has to be the biggest band-aid in the history of arbitration. The way it's used in basketball is completely inconsistent and ridiculous and puts an imbalance on end-game situations. Instant replay is a forensic endeavor. Not a sports endeavor. I'm not against its presence, but it's stupid to think it really fixes anything for the better. It should only be used in certain circumstances...i.e. scoring plays in baseball (think home runs (oops), or balls on the line)...in football, they should take away the coaches' challenges and just make it one uniform method of review. Currently, the only league that gets the concept of using replay mostly right is the NHL.

It is the obvious answer, guys...whether it's been detrimental to the team or not is up for debate (stories about him and Greinke hating each other are...interesting)...but it's probably not great for team chemistry when one player only goes to the owner when he has problems. My source is one of those guys who likes to blow things up a bit (like defending Axford or Betancourt to the death)...but he is in the press box for every home game and knows all the area sports media big-wigs rather well. Take it for what you will.

From all the behind the scenes rumors I've heard, there's only one Brewers player above the team... ...and it ain't Weeks.
