I've trained a couple of people in working out from the pure basics of exercise...those who have never really worked out and the biggest hurdle to get past with them is finding what your limits are. Simple stuff like running on a treadmill or doing shoulder presses or sit ups. When it starts to hurt, they tend to stop, but pushing past the barrier is where you see results. Similarly, it's like doing 3 sets of 10. For those that don't truly know how to calculate their max and 80% of that and how to move up and down in weights, they're just getting to 10 and could probably push out a few more, but because they've hit 10, then stop.
With stuff like this, people see a number and feel like it's good enough. This seems like a huge fluke as far as numbers go. In one of the preview videos, it shows a DJ spinning discs and the numbers increasing. I'm a pretty laid back person and a bit of a home body, I don't go out that often and my job, when it's slow, consists of sitting in a car for 7 hours a day, but yet I work out for probably two hours a day and am healthier than probably 90% of my peers. But those who live in a big city, walk to work, walk up and down stairs, go out at night and are on their feet for majority of the day will easily have a higher number than me, but could be far less healthy based on simple things like coffee intake, diet, sleep, stress and exercise routine. I agree with what you are saying, but anything that gets people interested in moving around more and if a wrist band does that for them, I think it is great. Back when I was chunkier I thought about getting one when I first started to exercise and eat better, but now that I have been in a routine for a while, I have no need and think it would annoy me more than anything. My suggestion would be to get in an exercise routine, and stick with it for 6 months and you will just keep doing it, because that is what you do. Motivation and determination will get you far further than a wrist band. And it's cheaper

In 24 appearances at Miller Park for the Brewers and Royals, Greinke has never lost going 15-0, with a 2.89 ERA. Greinke's teams have gone 23-1 with the lone loss being a 2-1 defeat to the Reds. Which one would you rather bet on if you were forced to lay down some cash? Now I am probably wrong here, but I thought Greinke took the loss when he got tossed after the first batter reached base last year-round. I thought that run scored and the crew never tied it or took the lead. I am probably wrong, but that is how I remember it. That was in Houston...I was at that game. Obvious to say, I was not too happy that I drove 4 hours to see a game and Greinke gets tossed right away. Also, to WIAC, I was watching hockey. Red Wing playoff hockey takes precedence to May Brewers baseball to me. I was keeping an eye on the score though Glad to hear I wasn't the only one... That Nyquist goal was sick, and Pasha never ceases to amaze. I wish this board had more (or any) NHL talk

I know, but felt the need to explain anyway. There is a lot going on this month for people though. I see a bit of a boost in a few weeks or so.

And I have been told that the thoroughfare of foods offered at Target Field are to die for. Buffalo Mac N Cheese and a Spaghetti sandwich? Really? And they say Tony O's Cuban Sandwich (spelling might be bad) is great. Something about the artisan food they have there really seems off to me. I just don't see the desire to eat chicken and wild rice soup at a baseball game. That does seem to be the way things are trending though

Can we stop beating a dead horse? I get it , it is frustrating watching Weeks play baseball. We don't need a new thread every week saying this. We don't need our other threads to devolve into people complaining about Weeks. We get it, Roenicke LOVES Weeks and doesn't care about baseball, or America, or the fans, or the other players on the team. All he cares about is Weeks because he is his uncle or something. Give it a rest.

It seems that the league is looking into including instant replay for all plays other than balls and strikes. They are still trying to figure out how it would be utilized. http://nesn.com/2013/05/...g-his-view-has-evolved/
Thoughts?

But I can also see the Cardinals sweeping the Crew.
Gast pitched well against the Mets throwing for 6 innings, I believe.
On paper 2 of the 3 should go to America's team (Cardinals), but the games are not played on paper. An odd thing to call the Cardinals...if anything, the Yankees are. Because they're talked about so much you wouldn't even know that there are 29 other teams in the league. - The Mid-west is Real America. MO, IA, IL, WI, MN, KS, NE, etc...... You don't get much more American than that. Hard working, blue-collar working states. No, all of the US is the REAL America. This holier than thou crap that has been spouted in the past decade or so is obnoxious. Someone from Wisconsin is not more of an American that someone from New York, California, or Florida. It is asinine that someone considers themselves more of an American than someone else and needs to stop
