Trust me, things like this happen all the time, every day. Don't be surprised. Makes me think of the Hobby Lobby situation. I just hope all the younger people out there are paying attention to what's going on. All this is going to get worse in 2014. As far as this Collins thing- I had never heard of him. Don't follow basketball like I used to, but still... Don't understand why the big deal about him? I understand he was engaged/or had this girlfriend for 8 years and left her hanging. Wasn't honest with her. Now this guy is is praised by the media for his "courage?" When I hear the word "courage", I think of other things like our men and women in uniform fighting overseas, police officers, firefighters, ER personnel, etc.
There are different types of ways to show courage. There are probably some gay military personnel who are impressed by the courage Collins has shown. I don't think it will truly be breaking a major barrier until a major athlete comes out--if things get too tough for this guy to deal with, he can always walk away considering he's 34. But I think sometimes it takes people like Collins to give others in his sport courage to come out. Also, really incredible article about Vince Lombardi and how he treated black and gay players as a result of the discrimination he faced as an Italian. http://espn.go.com/new-y...ardi-proud-jason-collins High five for the different ways to show courage comments . As for a major athlete coming out , Martina Navratilova came out and preceded to appear in the Wimbledon Singles Final 9 straight years , Billie Jean King was outed in the very same year , her personal and financial life was destroyed . Kudos for Jason Collins getting rid of his forced shame but there is only one reason this story is news .

I actually like this move from a run game perspective as Green Bay has not been able to run effectively since the departure of Mark Tausher at right tackle . Newhouse and Lang both have decent feet in the run game and maybe that stretch play to the right side will reappear in the zone offense . Bulaga will be fine of the left if he stays healthy , but I would not be surprised if a healthy Datko challenged him .

Scored 28 pts a game in basketball jr and sr year. Could be the next Scott Wells with more upside. Watching some of the few clips that can be found on Tretter he really does impress for a guy who really only played OL for two years because he outgrew the skill positions . The other guy in the fourth is street free agent at best , I think his last name got him drafted . Unlike a certain writer from Green Bay has suggested , the current left tackles in Green Bay have nothing to fear from this draft .

I guess I haven't been following the draft all that much, but I was under the impression that nobody wanted to touch this guy with a 10 foot pole. He's 5'9 on his tippy toes, a buck 80 soaking wet, and he's dumb as rocks, a trouble maker, and has a substance problem. Arizona seriously couldn't have used one of their five 4th-7th round picks to draft this scrub?? Come on, man! Chris Landry of Rivals said that every NFL team had Mathieu checked out and his report was Jimmy Leonard type skill set , as for personality he stated that he has known the Mathieu family since Tyler emerged from the womb and teams must understand that he grew up with guns and drugs as others grow up with the YMCA and dogs , its culture not criminal .

I loved Ball as a badger, but I wouldn't be shocked to see him fizzle out like many great badger running backs before him. Also, all of the "Experts" absolutely love Lacy to the Packers. He'll probably get 15-20 carries a game as the #1 back (Imo, Starks is gone). Green and Harris will be change of pace backs while Lacy carries the load. Imo, Lacy is going to be a RB who gets 4.5 a carry throughout a season and does enough hard work between the tackles to force teams out of a constant 2-deep shell. I also love the Lacy pick for 1 reason , at Alabama he was mostly used in shotgun sets because he does a fine job picking up blitzes which none of our current backs do well , like at Alabama his #1 run play will be the trap draw with Lang leading the way . My sleeper in this draft is the man who blocked for Lacy , Barrett Jones who would fill a need for Green Bay if healthy at center . Mike Mayock of the NFL Network had both Lacy and Jones to Green Bay without using # 1 .

Pick Eric Reid 3rd round: Montee Ball or Marcus Lattimore 4th round: William Gholston 5th round: Rick Wagner Best Packer mock draft I have seen but my nightmare scenario is that Hunt or Ogletree ends up in Chicago or Minnesota and AR spends the next 5 years ducking for cover . Personally I would like the Notre Dame TE in RD 1 so JMike can finally be cut . As for possible Packer trade , the team who dreams of Matt Barkley or Geno Smith as a savior may give Ted Thompson a call at 26 . Ted Thompson ... Please don't draft a DT type with that #1
