New London will be looking for a new coach as Andrea Flease has taken a Teaching Job along with the Head Coaching job at Winneconne. Not a surprise.... She graduated from college this year and New London didn't have a teaching position for her. Can't expect to make a living on just a high school coaching salary. Very surprising, but understandable. The Bulldogs loss will eventually be Winneconne's gain, I suspect. Surprising yes, understandable is absolutely is correct. The surprising part is seeing this kind of change over in a very successful program & I know schools don't like going through the process every year. It's not uncommon to see this with Coaches who lose their current teaching position & go elsewhere or the ones looking for teaching careers.

West De Pere has a new coach http://www.greenbaypress...girls-basketball-coach.
The Bay has also seen a high turnover rate the last few years with new coaches Marinette has had 5 different ones since 2008, Oconto Falls & Seymour in 2010, Lux-Casco & Hortonville in 2011, New London & Shawano in 2012, & now West De Pere in 2013.

Don't really have any favorites but I have Corey Hart & Mike Rivera's autograph that they signed on a ball during batting practice at a game back in 2008. Also got Leroy Butler's when he spoke at my school few years ago. Non Sports related I do have a signed picture of Sammy Hagar as part of a writing assignment for school as well as 2 guitar picks.

I will admit, travel is a probably the main weakness to my model. However, I wonder the comparison of school in 10 member conference having to travel for conference games as opposed to being in a 7 member conference and having to play and travel to non-conference games. (Although, these non-conference games can be more variable based on the discretion of the individual schools/athletic programs - stay close and play team with very different enrollment or travel and play similar sized school.)
The positives of my model is that it does get rid of the 7 member conference (which to me, are just like asking for headaches), and I limit the number of odd-numbered conferences to 2 (as compared to 4). One concern with the current proposed model is how do you work Packerland football with 4 8-man teams and 4 11-man teams, well now you would have a group of 7 11-man schools that I think would be relatively competitive with each other (really, just dependent on how/if Kewaunee rebounds to prior dominance).
Like I said, feel free to criticize.
(Oh, and I need a viable reason before I put Oneida Nation in a conference.) Where did Seymour go?

From my seat, I do not have a big issue with the geography, I am more curious about how this will impact the spring/summer baseball issue (4 of the 8 proposed play spring; Kiel, New Holstein, Two Rivers, Sheboygan Falls play summer). Does this fuel that debate/issue at all? I dread seeing this ultimately happen, then teams have to jump around to find games if seasons remain split Never thought of the Summer Baseball deal. Ultimately this affects the "New Conference as Berlin, Ripon, Waupun & WLA are the only 4 with Spring Baseball. As Plymouth, Kewaskum & CSport play summer ball. I don't think creating specific sport only conferences is the right direction to go in either.

Speaking of Xavier I see their AD is already on it. http://www.postcrescent....ting-Xavier-Menasha-Bay Turning some focus to the Bay, Lux-Casco has been fairly competitive in the Bay most sports they been finishing Middle to top of the conference. As stated with Hortonville I stated many years ago Hortonville would likely be in Menasha's position not being able to compete in the FVA. If Xavier wants to stay in the EVC solution could be to swap Waupaca to the Bay, although Waupaca has had a huge obligation over that in the past. Their are many options & many proposals one can come up with, we will just have to wait & see what comes up.

The Packerland, well I agree with Packerland above removing Kewaunee for Oneida Nation is a joke. The "New conference" looks some what decent but when I mapped it out it looks a little wide spread. http://goo.gl/maps/U7onW
The FVA trading Hortonville & Menasha was brought up in the past & looks like they are bringing it back. The Eastern Valley, Basically the old Valley 8 being resurrected with the exception of Wrightstown & Winneconne & Xavier out, this leads into the Bay Conference GB East & West get their move & you could say Menasha too but Xavier coming in just does not seem like a good fit as well as New London stays in the Bay as they want to move to the EVC. Like stated likely many more drafts to come & maybe for better or worse.
