I love the article by coach wetig. I do believe that the majority of what he talks about is true. I have been around education for 30 years and have seen a change in the kids over that time. I do believe that There is and will always be enough kids that want to do the work. One thing that Is for sure is that football is not for everyone. It is also true that today's generation has way more options to use their time than in the past. I also agree that the change in the kids is related to the change in the Parenting of kids today. Football is and always will be the ultimate team sport and hopefully will be played for generations to come. The "everyone gets a ribbon" generation and the "reset generation " are one in the same. Thank goodness there are still people out their that don't bye into some of the new school thinking that is all around us.

Word at around 10 was that the Somerset boys 4 by 2 and 4 by 1 teams both advanced as champs along with Luke Praschak winning the highs. On the girls side I believe Nat Broom and sara Henry made it outin the 100 , 4 by 1 and the 200, Krig in the hj and tj. Northey in the hh. I am sure afan will have the results posted before to long. Turning out to be some frosting on the cake for both the boys and girls track Program. Great Job Spartans.

Shell lake wins in Somerset 6 to 5. Spartans make a come back bid in the bottom of the 7th. What looked like the game tying run was called out at home...calling a spaid a spaid... it was a very late tag but hay sometimes ya just can't catch a break,,not sure that an 18 and 1 team needs much help.

You could be right, my bad. I read a post wrong. That is a bit surprising, however. I was surprised that the Osceola boys won, I was expecting either scc or Somerset.
