road kill wrote:To me, it is simple. "If you wanna BE the MAN, you gotta BEAT the MAN!" In this division, the Cardinals are the MAN! If Milwaukee can go into St Louis and take the series, they are on the road back to respectability. Losing the series, or getting swept simply is status quo. The Brewers will be 2nd tier until they can start handing it to St Louis. The road to respectability for the Milwaukee franchise goes right through the Arch!! RK That's beautiful! Quick question. Are the Cardinals the only team in the league that Wolf shuts down? Or are there more?

road kill wrote:If we can, let us stay on topic. That would be THIS series between the Brewers and the visiting Cardinals. If I'm not mistaken, there is an entire thread devoted to the St Louis Cardinals season. This is NOT it. Thank you, RK Sorry about that. I have the Cards winning 2 this series.

It appears to me as if THE MEN as still on break. At lease the position players. And if they don't come back soon this season could "slip" away.
But as a person who always sees the glass as 3/4 filled THE MEN will put it together AND make the playoffs.

The Cardinals lost Jack Buck about 1 week prior to Kile's passing. Tough year for the Cardinal organization.

It is a MUST win for them. If they lose tonught with thier ace on the mound they will be 9 games out. Yeah, I know, miracles can happen.....blah, blah, blah. Fact is, statistically & historically speaking, tonight is a HUGE game!! RK If the Crew should happen to lose tonight, are you telling us that you are officially giving up for this year? BTW--I am hoping for a Brewer win.

I would have to agree. Thanks for the insight. Was going off of the title the OP made "Verlander Rocked." You can be a real knob sometimes..... Stick to your Cardinals thread and Wainright being the best pitcher in the NL Central. So you are telling us that you stand by your statement that that wasn't the true Verlander? You can be a real knob a lot of times. Next you will telling all of us that it will get dark later tonight but by tomorrow morning it will get light out again.

Now Tim Dillard optioned or DFA'd to Nashville.
Could the Brewers actually be making some smart moves? This should be interesting to see how the bullpen gets cleaned up.
Thornburg brought up. Although Tyler Greene should be optioned I think you mean Taylor Green?

On behalf of the St. Louis Cardinal organization (that's right--I am their unofficial spokesman on this site) I want to congratulate all of the NL players for securing the home field advantage for us in the World Series. Thanks to you fellows we will make you proud and keep the championship in the NL. That's all.

Half way through I thought it would be fun to see how the preditions are coming along.
It appears to me that yzerman's predictions are looking the best.
