Wisconsin Sports Network has experienced unbelievable growth in the past four years.  We went from two sports to ten, increased page views by 30% and have established some great partnerships with organizations and businesses alike.

Along these lines we are very excited to announce a new feature on WisSports.net that we are calling WSN Xtra or WSNx for short.  This will be a subscription based sports news service, much like our Courtside and Sideline service that we had four or five years ago.

WSNx will cost $21.95 per year (less than $2 a month) for one sport or for $39.95 you can get access to all premium content plus a four issue subscription to WSN Illustrated.  WSNx will give users access to all exclusive stories, breaking news, recruiting information and in-depth analysis that you’ve come to expect from us here at WisSports.net. WSNx will also include exclusive access to player rankings, player profiles, and recruiting databases.

This service will allow us to cover more sports more frequently from a statewide coverage standpoint.    We will still keep our baseline of information for free – scores, results, stats, standings, schedules, rosters, sponsored content, rankings, etc.

If you look at the basketball and football landscapes, we are currently providing content that other sites are charging between $5-$15 per month to read.  Not to mention I feel like we do the best job at this, not only in our state, but across the nation.

For the other array of sports that we cover, we will provide content that many national sites do not see the value in and any local state based sites haven’t been able to pull off at any considerable output level.

To review, what is staying free.  Nearly everything.  Over 90% of our current page view traffic will remain free.  This includes scores, schedules, stats, rosters, results, honor rolls, standings, stat leaders, team rankings, team stats, rpi rankings, forum and sponsored content features.

In addition to being allowed to access premium content on our site, subscribers to WSNx will be included in exclusive raffles and give-a-ways.  We are also hoping to unveil new promotions and privileges for subscribers as we go along.

We are kicking things off with our old reliables football, boys basketball and girls basketball.  Starting next week we will be announcing the other sports that will become part of WSNx and feature more content.

So if you like what we are doing here, want to see more of it and help us take it the next level we encourage you to sign up.

As always, we thank all of our fans, readers, coaches, players and parents for your support.
