Nicolet's Brittney Fair has been selected as the top senior Wing as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards presented by Taco Bell.

After losing three scholarship players from last year's Division 1 title team, Fair knew she would need to pick her game up. The 5-8 senior became a dominant player this season, leading the Knights to a 21-4 record and spot in the sectional semi-finals.

After scoring 11.8 points per game last season, Fair upped her production to 20.8 points per contest this year. She's scored all over the court, including knocking down 60 three-pointers while also getting to the line 154 times and sinking 106 of them (69%). She also added 4.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 3.7 steals per game while playing outstanding defense.

"She can score from anywhere," Nicolet head coach Corey Wolf said. "As a wing, Brittney can also rebound and find her open teammates. She is a tremendous defender and can guard a variety of positions.

"Overall, I think Brittney had one of the best individual seasons I have seen in a long time."

Finalists for the award were Fair, Makailah Dyer of Madison East, Taylor Gradinjan of Cudahy, Kenzie Perttu of Green Bay Preble, and Jordyn Swan of Pewaukee.

The voting panel for the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards consisted of:  Nicholas Kartos, WSN President and Founder; Travis Wilson, WSN Content Manager and Girls Basketball Writer; Martenzie Johnson, WSN Content Producer; John Casper Jr., Eau Claire Leader-Telegram; Dennis Semrau, Wisconsin State Journal
