Senior Girls Basketball Awards: Post Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards -- Post Finalists:

Breanna Lewis, Milwaukee Riverside -- The Tigers started out the season slow but behind of the play of the Lewis (6-5) they are in Division 1 sectional play. The Kansas State recruit avearges 15.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game for the Tigers and is in the running for the Miss Basketball award. 

Olivia Braun, Racine St. Catherine's -- Braun is a versatile 6-1 forward, she is tough inside and can also play on the perimeter. The Toledo recruit led the Angels' in points (14 ppg), assists (5.8 apg) and blocks (3.3 bpg) while also contibuting 6.6 rebounds per contest.

Caitlyn Russell, Holmen -- Russell (6-2) is a strong post player that can also knock down the mid-range shot. The Evansville recruit averages better than 17 points per game and put up a career-high 31 points against La Crosse Logan in early January. She also brings down over 6 rebounds per game for the Vikings. 

Kayonna Lee, Eau Claire North -- Lee was key to the Huskies capturing a share of the Big Rivers Conference title this season. The Illinois St. recruit finished the season averaging just under 15 points per game, including a career-high 27 points against RIver Falls in February.

Jazmine Harris, Heritage Christian -- Harris is a very athletic 6-1 forward that has a terrific leaping ability. She played a key role in last year's Division 5 state championship and will be key for the Patriots to repeat. The Northern Illinois recruit is averaging 15.2 points and 9.6 rebounds per game.
