Milwaukee Riverside's Breanna Lewis has been selected as the top senior Post player as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards.

The Tigers started out the season slow but behind of the play of the Lewis (6-5) they are in the Division 1 state tournament. The Kansas State recruit is one of the most dominant forces in the state, able to take over games on both ends of the court with her size and skill level.

For the season she averages 15.5 points, 13.3 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game for the Tigers.

“Breanna works very hard and is always trying to improve her game," said coach Donald Nelson earlier this season. "She has been a captain the last two past seasons. Her leadership skills are contagious and she has taken the role very seriously to be a role model on and off the court for her teammates.”

Finalists for the award were Lewis, Olivia Bruan of Racine St. Catherine's, Jazmine Harris of Heritage Christian, Kayonna Lee of Eau Claire North, and Caitlyn Russell of Holmen.

Heather Bowe of Regis received the award last season.
