Favorite Sport: “My favorite sport would be basketball. The reason I like basketball is because it’s a team sport. I grew up playing basketball. My father is the boys’ varsity coach at Rice Lake so I always had a basketball in my hands.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “I think it’s the friendships and memories you make. You meet a lot of people and make a lot of new friends. Athletics also teaches you hard work and perseverance, life skills that will be used other than just in sports.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “The first thing that comes to mind is that our basketball coach always said ‘no regrets.” Do all things to your full potential and never walk off the court with regrets.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “One of my most memorable moments took place my sophomore year when I hit a half-court shot to send the game against Hayward into overtime. That was a WIAA regional final game. Another memory is playing with my sister, McKenzie, who is a freshman, in both volleyball and basketball.”

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “One of the best parts of being a three-sport athlete is that you get to experience different sports. Things in volleyball can help you in basketball and the things you do in basketball help you in softball. You learn different skills in each sport, but all the skills help you in the different sports. Also, being a three-sport athlete has taught me how to budget my time.”

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “Balancing your time is a challenge. Every sport wants you to put time in so getting a balance between the sports, school and your family is the biggest challenge."

Favorite Opponent:
“Eau Claire North within the Big Rivers Conference. Chippewa Falls is another one. Both always have solid programs with really good teams. Every year, you can expect a really good game.”

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Oklahoma City Thunder.

Favorite College Teams: Wisconsin Badgers.

Cumulative GPA: 4.0.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I play a lot of AAU basketball so I come up against a lot of really good players in the summer. Within our conference, I would say Kayonna Lee of Eau Claire North in both volleyball and basketball. She is a very good athlete and brings a big presence to the games because of her height.”

College Plans: “I’ll be attending Minnesota-Duluth and will be playing basketball. I’m pursuing a career in the medical field.”

Activities Outside of Sports: National Honor Society, Vice President of Future Business Leaders of America, Student Council, volunteer time with youth at St. Joseph Parish in Rice Lake, visit elderly in nursing homes in the Rice Lake area, volunteer time with youth basketball leagues in Rice Lake.

I Find it Relaxing to: “I have a big family so I like to spend time with my family and also with my friends.”

Favorite TV show: “The Bachelor.”

Favorite Movie: “The Notebook,” and “How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days.”

Favorite Musical Artists: “I’m kind of all over the place with music. I don’t really have a favorite, though I do like country music.”

Favorite Subject: Science.

Favorite Restaurant: Olive Garden in Eau Claire.

Favorite Websites: www.wissports.net.

Other Family Members: Father, Kevin; mother, Kelly; younger sisters, McKenzie and Alexis; younger brothers, Tyler and Zach. Another child is expected within the next couple of months.
