Dexter Smith of Two Rivers has been selected as the Week 4 WSN Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Smith came up huge passing and running the ball in an Eastern Wisconsin Conference win over Campbellsport. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 2597 votes were cast as Smith's 1167 votes edged Jefferson's Garrett Blaeske, who finished with 729.

After a junior season that saw him among the top three in most major receiving categories, Dexter Smith made the switch from wideout to quarterback for Two Rivers and has continued to be just as dominant. In a 28-8 win over previously unbeaten Campbellsport, he completed 35 of 47 passes for 409 yards and 3 touchdowns. He also added 92 yards and 1 touchdown on the ground as he had a hand in all four Purple Raiders scores.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WSN Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 5 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
