Joe Rademacher of Saint Croix Falls has been selected as the Week 8 WSN Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Rademacher helped the Saints keep their playoff hopes alive with a win over previously undefeated Webster. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 8. A total of 6033 votes were cast as Rademacher's 2519 votes edged Edgerton's Lucas Gregory, who finished with 1784.

The Saints were sitting in a precarious position entering Week 8, needing to win their final two games to become playoff-eligible, but facing unbeaten Webster. Head coach Grant Belisle's squad responded with their backs against the wall, scoring a 36-26 upset. Rademacher ran for 162 yards and 1 touchdown and also recorded a team-high 14 tackles on defense.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WSN Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 9 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
