Tanner Vik of Spooner has been selected as the Week 9 WSN Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Vik set a new state receiving record in a win over Hayward. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 9. A total of 6915 votes were cast as Vik's 3221 votes edged Madison West's Adrian Reilly, who finished with 1944.

In a year full of incredible statistical performances, it's only appropriate that the last Player of the Week poll includes an athlete that set a new state record, eclipsing a mark that had stood for 17 years. In a 46-14 win at Hayward, Vik set a new state record with 331 receiving yards on 8 catches, including 5 touchdowns. Three of those scores went for more than 70 yards. His yardage total surpasses the 324 yards of Winneconne's Justen Last set back in 1996.

This was the final Player of the Week poll of the season.
