Kimberly dominated opponents through the regular season and playoffs, and that dominance continued in a 51-10 blowout of Oshkosh North for the Division 2 title.

Oshkosh North got big plays from senior quarterback Nate Neveau to score first, but Kimberly answered back. What seemed headed towards a high-scoring shootout slowed down the rest of the first half, as the Papermakers went into the break with a 14-10 lead.

That's when senior signal-caller Scott Schreiber took over. After a long kickoff return to open the second half, Schreiber rambled down the left sideline and spun away from Spartan defenders for a 42-yard touchdown less than 30 seconds into the period.

He and Blair Mulholland then led a ground-and-pound drive later in the third that resulted in a 1-yard TD from Mulholland. Schreiber added another spinning score from 11 yards out just before the end of the quarter as Kimberly took a 42-10 lead.

A scary moment occurred early in the fourth quarter, when Oshkosh North players Robert Phillips and Alec Goodermuth were injured on the same play and both laid on the Camp Randall turf for nearly 30 minutes before being transported from the stadium by ambulance. Both were moving during the time, although no further updates are available at this time.

After returning to action, Schreiber scored again from 24 yards out, the Papermakers forced a safety, and All-State running back J.P. Peerenboom returned from injury to get in from 13 yards out as Kimberly cruised home for a 51-10 win.

Schreiber was outstanding all game, putting on one of the most complete performances we've seen at the quarterback spot. He ran the ball 12 times for 100 yards and 4 touchdowns, while completing 9 of 12 passes for 154 yards and 1 touchdown.

Mulholland was bottle dup early but came on late to rush for 89 yards and a score on 18 carries. Weston Guilfoyle's speed caused problems in the passing and return game, as he caught 3 passes for 77 yards and one touchdown with a 52-yard kickoff return to setup a score as well.

As he did during the season, Nate Neveau led the Spartans in both rushing (55 yards, 1 TD) and passing (18 of 31 for 192 yards). Cameron Parish hauled in a game-best 5 passes for 63 yards.

The title is the third for Kimberly, all coming in Division 2. They previously captured championships in 2007 and 2008 with a runner-up finish in 2009.
