Burkart's runner at the buzzer gives Xavier an EVC win over Ripon

With the game tied at 73 with just a few seconds on the clock, Xavier sophomore Sam Burkart took an in-bounds pass and raced up court, releasing a running one-hander from the top of the key that banged through the rim to give the Hawks a 76-73 victory. Burkart finished with a team-high 18 points.
The win pulled Xavier into a three-way tie atop the conference standings with Ripon and Little Chute.
