A pair of familiar logos sit atop their respective divisions in the WSN Cup standings following the Fall Sports season, but a school that has been close to capturing a trophy but come up just short has emerged in the smallest grouping.

The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

In the Large Schools Division (enrollment over 1000 students), six-time defending champion Arrowhead once again reigns supreme with a dominating lead. The Warhawks not only have the top score in the division and overall, their 504 points is the most ever scored in a single sports season since the award was launched in 2007-08. Previously the 465 by Catholic Memorial in the fall of 2008 had been the high. Championships in football, girls golf, and girls cross country provided the foundation, but Arrowhead also got a runner-up finish from the girls swimming and diving team, a state semi-final appearance in boys soccer, and strong showings in girls tennis, boys cross country, and boys volleyball. In the Large School Division, Middleton is second with a very strong 398 points (scoring points in every fall sport), while Eau Claire Memorial, Neenah, and Germantown round out the top five.

Madison Edgewood claimed three straight WSN Cup titles to start out but has seen Notre Dame grab the last three. Three state titles have the Crusaders from Edgewood out in front after the Fall Sports in the Medium Schools Division (enrollment 500-1000). Girls golf, girls tennis, and girls cross country all won championships, while girls volleyball was a state runner-up. Football, boys cross country, and girls swimming and diving also scored points for the Crusaders, who totaled 428. Notre Dame is second with 303 points, followed by Whitefish Bay, Catholic Memorial, and Shorewood.

Aquinas has won six straight WSN Cup trophies, but the Blugolds aren't anywhere close to the top after the Fall Sports, earning just 33.3 points. Instead, the Regis Ramblers hold a slight edge in the Small School Division (enrollment below 500). A title in girls volleyball and state tourney appearance in girls tennis led the way, as Regis scored 215 points. Darlington is close behind with 204 points thanks to a championship in boys cross country and a runner-up finish in football, while Lourdes Academy, University School, and The Prairie School round out the top five.

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. Schools are divided into two divisions based on enrollment. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided based on enrollment of the schools that participate in the co-op team.
