Sussex Hamilton's Brady Ellingson has been selected as the top senior Shooter as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.

Perhaps the premier long-distance shooter not only in Wisconsin but the entire Midwest, Ellingson is smooth as silk from the perimeter. He can score in a lot of ways, but his bread and butter is definitely the three-point shot.

The 6-4 Iowa recruit hit a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer to beat a very good Kettle Moraine squad in a regional final that is one of the highlights of the entire prep season in the state.

Ellingson is certain to be a three-time First Team All-Conference pick in the Greater Metro, where he was the Player of the Year as a junior. He averaged 25.4 points per game this season, making 91.7% of his free throws and 62 three-point attempts.

Finalists for the award were Ellingson, Sean Clarey of Brookfield Academy, Chandler Diekvoss of West De Pere, Jake Showalter of Germantown, and Matt Wilke of Sheboygan Falls.

Past winners of the award in clude Onalaska's Matt Thomas (2013) and Chippewa Falls' Tyson Kalien (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
