Whitefish Bay's Maya Jonas has been selected as the top senior Wing player as part of the WSN Senior Girls Basketball Awards.

Jonas is a long and athletic wing that averaged 14.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.8 assits, 2.4 steals, and 3.3 blocks per game for the Blue Dukes, who finished in a tie for second place in the North Shore Conference.

The Northwestern recruit was lost for the season when she re-tore her ACL in a contest against Kettle Moraine late in the season. As a senior, she led the team in scoring, rebounding, assists, blocks, and steals per game.

Finalists for the award were Jonas, Kettle Moraine's Linley Achtenhagen, Lourdes Academy's Maddy Reed, Oak Creek's Tamya Sims, and Arrowhead's Kelly Smith.

Past winners of the award include Samantha Terry of Baraboo (2013) and Brittney Fair of Nicolet (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
