Division 3 Girls Basketball Semi-Final Notes: Kettle Moraine Lutheran and Neillsville advance to title game

Kettle Moraine Lutheran too much for McKenna Larsen and Oconto Falls

Kettle Moraine Lutheran cruised to a 64-41 win over Oconto Falls to advance to the Division 3 title game. 

The Chargers dominated the paint, outscoring the Panthers 36-14. 

Senior Andrea Meinert finished with 19 points, 12 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks. Junior Mikayla Voigt tallied 19 points, 4 assists, and 5 steals in the win. 

Freshman Lindsey Soderbeck added 11 points for the Chargers. 

Oconto Falls got a stellar performance from senior McKenna Larsen who finished with 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 5 steals in the loss. Larsen connected of 5 of 9 threes in the contest. 

Kettle Moraine Lutheran advances to play Neillsville in the Division 3 title game at 2:30 pm on Saturday. 

Lindner leads Neillsville past Brodhead in overtime

Senior Jenny Lindner scored all 10 of Neillsville's points in overtime to lift the Warriors past Brodhead 51-43 and advance to the Division 3 title game on Saturday. 

The back and forth contest featured 14 lead changes and saw the game tied 11 times. 

Lindner, a Milwaukee recruit, finished with 33 points and 11 rebounds for the game and went 18-for-19 from the free throw line. 

Fellow senior Katelyn Crothers contributed 11 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 assists in the victory. 

Senior Meg Duffield finished with a team-high 12 points for Brodhead. 

Iowa recruit Carly Mohns tallied 10 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks, and 4 steals in the loss. 

Neillsville will play Kettle Moraine Lutheran in the Division 4 title game on Saturday.

Note:  The attendance for the Friday D3 morning session was 5,427.
