Stephanie Kostowicz of Oak Creek girls basketball has been selected as the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week for the week of March 17 through the 24 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.

In their state semifinal win over Kimberly, the Milwaukee recruit scored 8 points, including a layup to tie the game and force overtime before winning 46-40.

Stephanie averaged 13.9 points and 7.5 rebounds per game for coach Steve Hluchnik and the Knights who finished with a 26-2 record and Division 1 State Champs.

Remember, the only way your favorite player can be named WSN's Athlete of the Week is to vote and spread the word. Nominations can be sent to norbert.durst@sportngin.com. Look for next week's nominees to be posted on Sunday evening.
