Homestead boys golf won the Washington County Invite held at the Washington County Golf Course on Saturday. The Highlanders are this week’s PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week.

The Highlanders finished 9th at the Division 1 Boys State Championship last season and made a statement over the weekend by finishing ahead of Cedarburg and Brookfield Central who finished in the top two spots last season.

Homestead shot a 313 in the event to finish first in the 24-team field. They edged defending Division 1 champ Cedarburg by three strokes.

Junior Danny Scozzafave and freshman Robbie Morway each shot a 78, while senior Zach Shahrokhi finished with an 81.

As a team the Highlanders shot an 83, which would have been the low score on nine of the other 23 teams a the Washington County Invite.

The Splash of the Week is sponsored by PlayInTheDells.com. It highlights the player, coach or team that has "made a splash" in the world of high school sports. This could mean coming out of nowhere to do something great, going above and beyond the call of duty, etc.  If you have a nominee for Splash of the Week please send it to info@wissports.net.
