Senior Softball Awards: Pitcher Finalists

Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Softball Awards.

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the softball state tournament.

WSN Senior Softball Awards -- Pitcher Finalists:

Anna Conard, Green Bay Preble: In FRCC play (16 games), she was 15-1 with a 0.60 ERA and 139 strikeouts. She also hit .446 with 16 RBI for the Hornets. As a juior, she was co-player of the year in FRCC and an Honorable Mention WFSCA All-State choice. 

Taylor Haines, Arcadia: Haines is having a dominant season, has a 0.43 ERA, 300 strikeouts, and 3 no-hitters for the undefeated Raiders. Taylor had 28 strikeouts in a 13-inning win over West Salem and last week totaled 20 strikeouts in a 11-inning win over Luther.

Tiffany Killiam, Waupun: Killiam is 20-2 with a 1.89 ERA and 178 strikeouts. At the plate he has a .457 average with 7 home runs and 37 RBI. She was a First Team All-Eastern Wisconsin choice last season. 

Abby Klopp, Baldwin-Woodville: She is 20-1 with a 0.24 ERA and 228 strikeouts this season. Abby also has six no-hitters this season. She is hitting .540 with 4 home runs and 31 RBI. Last season she was WFSCA First Team All-State and the Division 2 Player of the Year. 

Nicole Newman, Madison La Follette: Nicole Is 20-4 with a 0.42 ERA and 357 strikeouts. She is also a strong hitter, carrying a .552 batting average with 6 home runs. Newman was a First Team WFSCA All-State selection as a junior.
