Athlete of the Week: Josh Peterson, Mondovi
Josh Peterson of Mondovi baseball has been selected as the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week for the week of June 9th through 15th after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were 4,412 votes this week with Peterson collecting 1,913 of them. Rochelle Koshalek of Mosinee softball finished second with 1,751 votes.
Peterson drove in the game-tying run with a double in the 7th inning during their 9-4 win over Stanley-Boyd in a sectional semifinal.
He also pitched the sectional final game, allowing just an unearned run and striking out 4 in their 9-1 win over Cumberland to advance to the state tournament.
