Voting is open until Thursday at 4 p.m., so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint:  Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

WisSports.net Week 2 Team of the Week Nominees:

Alma Center Lincoln -- After Green Bay West's Week 1 win, Alma Center Lincoln held the dubious honor of the state's longest active losing streak at 27 games, stretching back to Week 9 of the 2010 season. They ended that this week however, scoring a 20-0 victory over Royall. The Hornets are in their first season under head coach Bill Schulte, who was the head coach at Mukwonago for several years.

Delavan-Darien -- The Big Foot Chiefs entered their Week 2 game against Delavan-Darien riding a state-best 34 game regular season winning streak. Their last regular season loss had come in Week 2 to...Delavan-Darien. It was deja vu all over again, as after the game was delayed Friday night due to lightning, Delavan-Darien scored a 37-13 victory on Saturday. Jesse Collins continued his masterful play, completing 16 of 23 passes for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns, adding 62 yards on the ground.

Kohler/Sheb. Lutheran/Sheb. Christian -- The co-op program seemed to be on shaky ground the last few seasons, with a winless 2011 campaign followed by the cancellation of the varsity schedule in 2012. The team won just one game last season. It's been a very different story so far in 2014, as head coach Matt Zavada's bunch are 2-0, with a 42-0 win over Living Word Lutheran in Week 1 followed by a 35-0 blanking of North Fond du Lac over the weekend. They held the Orioles to just over 100 yards of total offense in the game, while going for more than 300 themselves.

Lake Country Lutheran -- Lake Country Lutheran and Catholic Central met up in Week 2 for the third time in less than 12 months, and just like the two meetings last season, Lake Country Lutheran came out on top. The Lightning jumped out to a 28-7 halftime lead and added some insurance scores in the second half for a 48-22 victory. They racked up 291 rushing yards, led by 181 from Adam Tovar. The team averaged 9.1 yards per carry, and Ben Wilkins added 110 passing yards.

Middleton -- There's still a long ways to go, and the meat of the schedule is coming up, but Middleton has established itself as one of the favorites once again in what appears to be a more wide open league race than we've seen the last couple seasons. In Week 2, the Cardinals traveled down Highway M to face rival Verona. They blew open a close game that was tied at halftime 9-9, scoring 23 unanswered second-half points for a 32-9 victory. Running back Cam Maly accounted for all three second-half touchdowns, finishing with a hard-earned 94 yards and 4 scores on the day. Kellen Schulz struggled with accuracy a bit, but made big plays in the passing game, accounting for 217 yards on his 12 completions. It was appropriate that the day before International Bacon Day, receiver Mitchell Bacon hauled in 8 passes for 116 yards.
