Waupun girls volleyball captured the Sun Prairie Invitational title on Saturday. The Warriors are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week recipient.
Waupun defeated Manitowoc Lincoln 25-22, 25-20 in the championship match at the Sun Prairie Invite.
The Warriors also beat De Pere (25-14, 25-15) and Watertown (25-14, 25-13) on Saturday.
Blake Buchholz led Waupun with 30 kills on Saturday, including a team-high 12 in their win over Manitowoc Lincoln in the championship game.
Kyra Verheyen notched 54 assists on Saturday, while also notching a team-high 8 digs against Manitowoc Lincoln.
On Friday Waupun went 3-2 with wins over Edgewood, La Crosse Central, and De Pere. Their losses came against Luxemberg-Casco and Watertown.
Verheyen finished with 96 assists, while Buchholz compiled 45 kills in five matches.
Waupun is ranked No. 4 in the Division 2 Wisconsin Volleyball Coaches Association Poll.
