VIDEO: Janesville Craig dominates Janesville Parker in Monterrey Bowl on CW57
There was little that could slow down the Janesville Craig football team in its game against crosstown rival Janesville Parker in the "Monterey Bowl" on CW57 Sports in Madison on Friday...except Mother Nature. Despite a lengthy weather delay with lightning in the area, Craig dominated Parker for a 35-0 victory.
Craig jumped out to a 14-0 advantage after the first quarter, and stretched it to 21-0 at halftime. A score in both the third and fourth quarters provided the final margin.
Much of the damage was done on the ground, where Nick Moore had 136 yards and 2 touchdowns on 20 carries, while Dan Ouimet and Shayne Ellis added rushing scores as well. A 4-yard touchdown pass from Justin Filter to Dan Gabower in the fourth quarter provided the other Cougars score.
The win kept Craig unbeaten on the season, as they're one of four undefeated Big Eight squads after the first two weeks.
