Splash of the Week: Dodgeland football

Dodgeland defeated Montello/Princeton/Green Lake for the first time since 2009 on Friday. The Trojans are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week

Dodgeland knocked off Montello/Princeton/Green Lake 26-25 for their first win over M/P/GL since October 22, 2009. The Trojans were outscored 211-0 in their previous four meeting, including a 42-0 defeat last season. 

The Trojans got on the board first with a 1-yard touchdown run by Taylor Rayome with 8:26 left in the first quarter. 

Montello/Princeton/Green Lake scored three times in the second quarter to take a 17-6 halftime lead.

Dodgeland started the second half with a 85-yard touchdown run by Matt Moynihan to get within 3 points after going for two. Andrew Mountin added a 1-yard touchdown run to give the Trojans a 20-17 lead with 10:34 remaining.

Montello/Princeton/Green Lake answered with a touchdown to take a 25-20 lead with 4:40 remaining.

Dodgeland scored on their next play from scrimmage on a 81-yard pass from Matt Robinson to Jaxson Seufzer to put the Trojans on top for good to win 26-25 and end a four year losing streak against Montello/Princeton/Green Lake.
