It seemed the chances of Sun Prairie staying in contention for a third straight Big Eight Conference title were in danger after the Cardinals fell behind Madison West 13-0 on Friday, September 12th, but they rallied to score the next 27 points and claim a 27-13 victory in the "Isthmus Bowl" on CW57 Sports.

As the passing game struggled, Sun Prairie turned to its strong rushing attack, which put up 225 yards on the ground, led by All-State running back Noah Diaz's 120.

The defense also came up big, picking off West quarterback Xavier Miller three times, forcing a fumble, and recording 3 sacks. James Pontius led the way with 10 tackles, and scored a 4-yard rushing touchdown to close out the scoring in the fourth quarter.

Check out the "Hawk Bowl" on CW57 Sports this weekend as Fort Atkinson travels to Milton.
