Thom Jefferson Ang of Wonewoc-Center has been selected as the Week 4 Air National Guard Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Jefferson-Ang was a huge reason the Wolves ended one of the state's longest winning streaks. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 4546 votes were cast, as Jefferson-Ang's 1900 were enough to edge second place Isaac Gonnering of Freedom, who tallied 1573.

The Timberwolves have seen several players make their marks in the state record books for passing or receiving in the past, but there have been many lean years in Wonewoc and Union Center. The team has never made the WIAA football playoffs, and entered Week 4 with the state's longest active losing streak at 24 games. That has come to an end however, thanks to a 38-12 win over rival Royall. Thom Jefferson-Ang, a sophomore running back, came up huge all day, carrying the ball 22 times for 226 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Air National Guard Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 5 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
