FOOTBALL
Offense

Kyle Larson, Sophomore (Clayton, Wis.), Quarterback of UW-Stevens Point 
Larson threw for 302 yards and a pair of touchdowns to help guide UW-Stevens Point to a 34-27 comeback victory over No. 5-ranked North Central College (Ill.) on Sept 27.  He completed 25-of-38 passes and did not turn the ball over for the third consecutive game this season.  Larson completed passes to seven different receivers in the win and threw touchdowns of eight and 11 yards.

Defense
Deion Jones, Sophomore (Racine, Wis./Horlick), Defensive Back of UW-Stevens Point
Jones had two of UW-Stevens Point’s four interceptions as the Pointers came from behind to defeat No. 5-ranked North Central College (Ill.) 34-27 on Sept. 27.  His first interception came late in the second quarter and his 15-yard return set UW-Stevens Point up at the North Central 22-yard line.  Later, Jones returned a third-quarter interception 36 yards to the North Central 19-yard line to set up the go-ahead touchdown.  He also had two total tackles in the game.

Special Teams
Jesse Vervelde, Junior (Oostburg, Wis.), Kicker of UW-Stevens Point 
Vervelde tied his career-high with four field goals to help UW-Stevens Point knock off No. 5-ranked North Central College (Ill.) 34-27 on Sept. 27.  He connected from 28, 43, 26 and 33 yards and made both of his extra points to account for 14 points in the win.  Vervelde also averaged 59.0 yards on seven kickoffs, including two touchbacks.
