Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Kimberly is on top of the D1 poll again, with Germantown close behind. With former #3 Fond du Lac falling to Oshkosh North (and sliding to 6th this week), Muskego jumped into the #3 position, followed by Bay Port and Mukwonago. Losses by Kenosha Indian Trail and Sun Prairie caused them to fall out of the rankings, with Big Eight tri-leaders Middleton (#7) and Janesville Craig (#10) moving in. Appleton North lost in a tough game to Kimberly, and despite a pair of losses on the year (to Kimberly and Fond du Lac), the Lightning remain at #9 this week.

Division 2

Homestead's 40-27 loss to Cedarburg was sure to result in a few questions in the rankings this week. First, who would be first? Greendale was a strong favorite in the voting and takes over the top spot, followed by Ashwaubenon, South Milwaukee, and Menasha. Secondly, would Homestead end up behind Cedarburg? Not quite. The one-loss Highlanders moved down to 5th, two spots ahead of two-loss Cedarburg. A win over previously undefeated Fond du Lac allowed Oshkosh North to move into a tie for 10th in the rankings with Waunakee.

Division 3

Wisconsin Lutheran is again on top of Division 3, but West De Pere moved just ahead of Catholic Memorial for the #2 spot. Somewhat surprisingly, Mount Horeb/Barneveld's 14-7 loss to DeForest caused them to go down just one spot, from 4th to 5th. The bottom half of the rankings remain exactly as they did last week, though Notre Dame and Rice Lake are very good one-loss teams just outside the top ten.

Division 4

While others around them continue to drop, Somerset has been a strong presence at the top of the polls for several weeks now, and was a near unanimous #1 selection in Division 4. With Brodhead/Juda upset by Clinton and dropping from 2nd to 6th, Marshall takes over the #2 spot, followed by Freedom, Wrightstown, and Wautoma. A second loss by Columbus and Little Chute caused them to fall out of the rankings, as unbeaten Saint Croix Central and one-loss Kettle Moraine Lutheran made their debuts in the poll.

Division 5

It was very close in the voting among the top three teams, but ultimately they ended up in the same order as last week:  Amherst, Stanley-Boyd, and Arcadia. Bloomer's 9-7 win over Chetek-Weyerhaeuser caused the Blackhawks to jump from 10th to 7th, while the Bulldogs of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser dip from 5th to 9th. Waterloo is 6-0 on the season, and move into the rankings for the first time at #10.

Division 6

It doesn't happen very often, but every team in last week's Division 6 poll won, and the voting this week went the same as the week before. That means Edgar gets a slight edge for the top spot over Saint Mary's Springs. A big Week 7 game on the schedule features unbeaten and 5th-ranked Cuba City traveling to 6th-ranked Darlington for a Friday afternoon game.

Division 7

Owen-Withee solidified its grip on the top spot of the Division 7 Coaches Poll, as former #2 and defending champ Black Hawk suffered a second loss on the season and slid to #8. Pepin/Alma, Ithaca, Almond-Bancroft, and Catholic Central round out the top five.

8-Man Football

Green Bay NEW Lutheran's lead at the top of the 8-Man Football Coaches Poll has shrunk in recent weeks, but it's still enough to keep the Blazers on top...for now. Gibraltar moves ahead of Prairie Farm for the #2 spot this week in what seems to be a weekly contest of leap-frog. New Auburn moves back into the rankings this week.
