As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Week 7 Game of the Week:  Ashwaubenon (6-0, 5-0; D2 #2) at Bay Port (6-0, 5-0; D1 #4) -- Friday, 7 pm
Ashwaubenon comes in with a 15-game FRCC conference winning streak, including a 28-14 victory over Bay Port last season en route to an unbeaten league title. Both squads enter this match-up undefeated, with a pair of Division 1 quarterbacks at the helm. There can't be many games in state history featuring two D1 scholarship signal-callers, but Bay Port's Alec Ingold (Northern Illinois) and Ashwaubenon's James Morgan (Bowling Green) are among the most talented and productive the state has had in several years. Not only that, but this game could determine which one is First Team All-Conference, FRCC Player of the Year, WFCA All-State, and perhaps WFCA Offensive Player of the Year. Ingold is more dynamic as a multi-threat performer, going over 1000 yards on the ground already this year with 13 touchdowns. He's also completed more than 73% of his passes for 658 yards and 9 scores. Morgan is a more conventional drop-back passer, with an extremely strong arm, completing 60% of his passes for a state-best 1808 yards and 19 touchdowns. But, of course these two won't completely decide the game, and won't be trying to defend the other one either. The supporting cast, especially the defenses, will have a big say in who comes out on top. The victor will be the favorite for an FRCC title and possible top seed in the WIAA playoffs.
