Air National Guard Week 9 Player of the Week Nominees:

Tyler Johnson, Menasha -- Menasha and West De Pere appeared headed towards an unbeaten Week 9 matchup much of the year, with the Bay Conference title and possible #1 playoff seed on the line. The Bluejays blew open a tight game at halftime to pull away for a 45-21 victory, as Johnson accounted for four touchdowns and 299 yards. He finished 8 of 11 passing for 87 yards and a score, while carrying the ball 23 times for 212 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Jack Meunier, Kiel -- To have any shot at a playoff berth, Kiel needed a win over Campbellsport in Week 9. Down 18-13 early in the 4th quarter, things didn't look so good for the Raiders. However, quarterback Jack Meunier hooked up with Jesus Sandoval for a pair of 4th quarter scores as Kiel won the game and grabbed the last playoff spot via a tiebreaker. Meunier completed 6 of 18 passes but hit for 117 yards and 2 touchdowns through the air. He added 18 carries for 115 yards and a score on the ground as well.

Josh Ringelberg, Greendale -- Greendale pulled away from previously undefeated South Milwaukee for a 42-7 win Thursday night, securing an unbeaten regular season and another Woodland title. Ringelberg, an All-State quarterback last year, finished off the year in style, completing 16 of 26 passes for 253 yards and 3 touchdowns. He added 20 carries for 70 yards and 3 more scores as well, as he accounted for all 6 Panthers touchdowns.

Nate Stanley, Menomonie -- Menomonie entered the season with a state-record 27 year consecutive playoff streak, but a rash of injuries led to a 1-3 start to the conference season, putting postseason run in jeopardy. The Mustangs won their last three games of the year to qualify for the playoffs however, including a Week 9 35-14 decision over River Falls. Junior Nate Stanley, who was feared out for the year due to a broken hand suffered in Week 1, returned several weeks ago and was instrumental in the playoff-clinching win. He completed 18 of 31 passes for 284 yards and 3 touchdowns, and averaged better than 41 yards per punt.

Dylan Swerig, Milton -- Monona Grove entered the final regular season game of the year against Milton sporting a 38-game conference winning streak, looking to claim a sixth straight unbeaten Badger-South title. It appeared those streaks would continue until junior Dylan Swerig drilled a 48-yard field goal with 8 seconds left in regulation to tie the game and force overtime. In the extra period, Milton won it in the extra period 10-3 to claim a share of the league title for the first time since 2008.
