DSHA’s Arike Ogunbowale has committed to play for coach Muffet McGraw at Notre Dame.

She was also considering Louisville, Ohio State, UCLA, and Wisconsin.

Ogunbowale, a 5-foot-9 guard, averaged 22.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game for the Dashers as a junior. She's a three-time WBCA First Team All-State selection and a three-time Greater Metro Player of the Year.

She is a explosive guard that can get to the hoop and also shoots well from behind the arc. Arike helped the USA Women’s U17 team to the FIBA World Championship this summer, averaging just under 11 points per game which was third-best on the team.

Notre Dame has made four-straight Final Four appearances, including runner-up finishes in 2011, 2012, and 2014.

Coach McGraw led Notre Dame to the National Championship in 2001 and has a career record of 751-259, including a 663-218 record in her 27 years at Notre Dame.
