FOOTBALL
Offense

De’Juan Wright, Junior (St. Petersburg, Fla./Kewsick Christian), Running Back of UW-Stevens Point
Wright carried the ball 29 times for 131 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 19-ranked UW-Stevens Point to a 24-17 win over UW-La Crosse on Oct. 25.  He eclipsed the century mark for the first time this season and fell seven yards short of matching his career high.  Wright tallied 92 of his game-high 131 rushing yards in the second half, as the Pointers came back from 17-10 down at the break.  Both of his touchdowns came in the second half, including the game-winning score with 4:27 remaining in the contest.

Zilbar led the Pioneers to their first-ever shutout of UW-Stout, 21-0, on Oct. 25.  He recorded a game-high 13 tackles and also tallied his four interception of the season.

Ray averaged 49 yards on eight punts during UW-Oshkosh’s 24-7 loss to UW-Whitewater on Oct. 25.  His longest punt was a 71-yard boot in the second quarter.  He also had punts of 48, 51 and 52 yards.  The WIAC’s leading punter finished the contest with one touchback.
