Seth Peters of Luxemburg-Casco has been selected as the Level 1 Air National Guard Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Peters was a big reason the Spartans went on the road and beat a very good Notre Dame team to open the playoffs.. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 1. A total of 3,286 votes were cast, as Peters' 1510 were enough to edge second place Tyler Westrick of Milton, who tallied 1,129.

The Spartans went on the road in Level 1 to take on a strong Notre Dame team out of the FRCC, but pulled away in the second half for a 34-14 win. Peters got Luxemburg-Casco on the board first with a 9-yard scoring plunge, and coming out of halftime with a 14-7 lead, tacked on another score on a 64-yard gallop. He finished with 234 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 21 carries.

Luxemburg-Casco moves on to Level 2, where they'll face Berlin, who claimed the Team of the Week vote this week.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Air National Guard Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 2 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
