The Cambria-Friesland Hilltoppers have been selected as the Playoffs Level 2 WisSports.net Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team defeated Hilbert to advance to Level 3 of the playoffs for the first time since 2006. The Hilltoppers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 2. A total of 8,301 votes were cast, as Cambria-Friesland's 3,251 votes narrowly edged Black Hawk's 3,041 votes.

Heading into 2014, the Hilltoppers hadn't won a playoff game since 2006, but are now into Level 3 after a 28-16 win over Hilbert. Andrew DeYoung rushed for 239 yards and 2 touchdowns, as the team went for 342 on the ground. Quarterback Bennett Koopmans added a pair of rushing scores and was 7 of 8 passing in the game.

Top-seeded Cambria-Friesland advances to face Almond-Bancroft, the 2-seed, on Friday at 7 pm at Cambria-Friesland High School.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
